Another windy snowy day in North Dakota.................
I wasn't too thrilled with the weather when at 7am I was scraping snow off the steps of daycare but never gave it much thought the rest of the day.
Home time and Lucas decided to come home with his Gangan. No problem or was it?
The wind had blown snow all over our driveway something which had past the attention of Grandad who had spent the day baking goodies for our daycare snacks. If he had seen what was going on he would have been out there, like the hero he is, blowing the snow from the drive.
Lucas and I arrive and me being in a hurry as it was blooming cold was leading the way at super pace.
I arrive at the front door to hear a vocie in the distance calling, "Gangan, I need help."
Looking back from whence I had come there was One Boy stuck in the snow with the snow gently filling his boots....oops....
Now, do I go back and rescue him or go in get warm and leave him to sort himself out?
Well, of course I traipsed back down the drive and hauled him from the snow and carried him to the house.
Bless his heart he was only stuck for a few minutes but his little feet were frozen.
Sometimes it is still difficult getting used to North Dakotan winters....roll on spring.

A Trip to 'Bummer' Bank
In my continued effort to teach One boy the value of money and saving I like to take him along on my regular visits to the bank. This way he can interact with the bank staff and hand over the checks and money for depositing.
Of course if I were honest I would have to admit that he really only enjoys these outings because the lovely ladies at the bank give him a sucker......Oh well whatever works.......
Now my bank goes by the name of "Bremer Bank." well that is until today......
Lucas very innocently asked me if we were going to "Bummer Bank."
After I picked myself up off the floor from laughing I pointed out that his pronunciation was wrong and that it should be "Bremer."
"I know Gangan" was his reply, "Bummer."
I have a nasty feeling that our bank from now on in will be known in this houselhold as Bummer Bank.

An Early Sart
Oh dear.........5.39 am and Lucas and I are up and at 'em.
Today at daycare we have a drop-in who will be arriving at 6.45. Neither one of us are too brilliant with early starts but we have a business to run and a precious child who needs us.
Lucas is fast becoming a business man...and we are now teaching him the value of money and how to put it to best use and of course the blessings of tithing........
One Boy is only three but teach a child now and the future will be his.
